Jewish Wedding Rings
In today’s modern society Jewish Wedding Rings come in many designs the most common design after the plain ring is a ring engraved rings with the famous verse said by King Salomon in the Song of Songs “I am to my beloved and my beloved is to me”.
This ring is so loved that it is known as the Ani Ledodi Ring the Hebrew translation for I am to my beloved.
The Jewish tradition requires a man to separate a woman solely to himself and this being possible in a few ways the most common way and the only one used in today’s society is by giving an object of value to the woman he wishes to marry by her accepting the object she acknowledges this man as her husband thus forbidding herself to all other men.
Today everyone uses a ring for the wedding ceremony many reasons are given why people use a ring as opposed to any other object since according to Jewish law any object is fine as long as it has monetary value.

Shape, color, and even which metal is preferred gold or silver
But all agree that the Jewish Wedding Ring should not be mounted with a stone this is because a woman might agree to marry this man based on him giving her a ring she thinks is worth more then it actually is, the problem with that is; if she would know the true value she might not agree to marry him.
Some have a custom of using a ring that is square on the outside and round on the inside this blessing the couple to join and become one even if they are two opposites like the square and the circle.
Most prefer to use a gold ring during the wedding ceremony because gold is a metal that never rusts.
The couple wishes to be blessed by the gold’s characteristics and let there love last forever without rusting.
